  1. In the early game, use Ralts (Lychee/“Leechan”) to buy time and prepare the setup required for Mega Absol ex. Depending on the metagame, you can also switch to Furfrou for a more stable early board.
  2. Once the board is established, transition into offense with Mega Absol ex, disrupting the opponent by discarding key Supporter cards from their hand while maintaining pressure.
  3. In the late game, combine hand disruption and damage pressure to shut down the opponent’s development and maintain control with Mega Absol ex to close out the match.

Deck Weaknesses

The deck heavily relies on Mega Absol ex, so delays in evolution or Energy setup can quickly cause a loss of tempo.

If the early-game stall Pokémon do not function properly, the deck can be overwhelmed by fast aggressive strategies.

Because the strategy depends on hand disruption, it can become inconsistent against decks that empty their hand quickly or rely on strong top-deck plays.

  1. In the early game, use Pichu to put the opponent to sleep and buy time while setting up your board. At the same time, Darkrai’s Ability adds extra damage to Sleeping Pokémon, applying consistent early pressure.
  2. During the mid game, attach Energy to both Darkrai ex and Mega Absol ex to prepare your attackers. Darkrai ex maintains steady board pressure, while Mega Absol ex disrupts the opponent by discarding key Supporter cards from their hand, securing control of the game.
  3. In the late game, combine Darkrai ex’s attacking pressure with Mega Absol ex’s hand disruption to shut down the opponent’s setup and close out the match.

Deck Weaknesses

Since the deck needs to distribute Energy across two main attackers, it can become inconsistent if either setup is delayed, resulting in lower overall damage output.

The early-game plan relies on the Sleep status condition, so decks with Special Condition counterplay can significantly disrupt the opening tempo.

Because the strategy relies heavily on hand disruption, it becomes less consistent against decks that empty their hand quickly or have strong top-deck recovery.
